We are a small summer-inspired seasonal garden dedicated to growing hardy, beautiful perennials that thrive right here in Bancroft’s Zone 4 climate.
Our plants follow Mother Nature’s timeline, emerging when the season is truly ready — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Most perennials in our area don’t make their appearance until late May or early June, with the exception of early bloomers like Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis), Catmint (Nepeta), Columbine (Aquilegia), Creeping Phlox (Phlox subulata), Dianthus, Jacob’s Ladder (Polemonium), Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis), Lungwort (Pulmonaria), Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris), Peonies (Paeonia), Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica), Solomon’s Seal (Polygonatum spp.), and Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum). We truly appreciate your patience as Mother Nature sets the pace.
As varieties become ready and available for sale, they will be listed on our website and offered at the Bancroft Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Special sale dates and updates will be posted on our Facebook page — be sure to follow us to stay in the loop: https://www.facebook.com/50mather 🌸
Thank you for supporting local and for sharing in the anticipation of spring’s return. We look forward to helping you grow something that comes back year after year.
